Weight training for kids is a controversial subject of great concern to parents, coaches and the medical community. Youth weight training has been shown to be safe and effective method of improving strength, endurance, power and speed in both boys and girls. Weight training for kids is a controversial subject of great concern to parents, coaches and the medical community. Youth weight training has been shown to be safe and effective method of improving strength, endurance, power and speed in both boys and girls. It has also been demonstrated to improve self-esteem, bone health, insulin sensitivity, body composition and decreased injury rates during athletic competition. In fact, the current position of the National Strength and Conditioning Association is that:
A properly designed and supervised resistance training program is relatively safe for youth.
A properly designed and supervised resistance training program can enhance the muscular strength and power of youth.
A properly designed and supervised resistance training program can improve the cardiovascular risk profile of youth.
A properly designed and supervised resistance training program can improve motor skill performance and may contribute to enhanced sports performance of youth.
A properly designed and supervised resistance training program can increase a young athlete's resistance to sports-related injuries.
A properly designed and supervised resistance training program can help improve the psychosocial well-being of youth.
A properly designed and supervised resistance training program can help promote and develop exercise habits during childhood and adolescence.
But, the weight room can be a distracting environment, so make sure your athlete is psychologically mature enough for it and never let them lift without proper supervision. If your child is mature enough to participate in organized sports, then he/she is ready to begin a well supervised speed and strength training program. Follow the program closely; it is designed to progress your athlete in a safe and effective manner. This program will begin with the athlete learning the movement patterns while progressing to more complex movements with heavier weights. Also, always check with your physician before starting any exercise program. Have fun and be supportive and encouraging. Kids need a role model, not a critic. If you do have to give correction, sandwich it between positive statements. For example, “Great intensity on that last set of squats but try to get just a little bit lower. Your legs are getting very strong. Good job!” Do not be afraid to exercise with your athlete but remember they should be your main focus. Contact me if you have any questions. You must spend time getting your body ready to play. You must become stronger and faster than your opponent. This happens in the weight room and at the dinner table. When done correctly, this training will help your first step toward the ball, will help you more easily defend those attackers, will help your footwork, will help you prevent injuries and will help you play harder through both halves of the game. Off the field training requires hours of hard work, but it is fun work and will make you a much better soccer player. The program in this book will guide you and enable you to get stronger, faster, more flexible and teach you how to eat for better performance. You will notice the difference on the soccer field and your opponents will also notice. Work hard and have fun!

This is an amazing opportunity for trainers because the average job growth for all professions is estimated to be only 8%. The average starting salary for personal trainers is roughly $20-80 per hour. Not bad for a job where you get to wear shorts. More importantly, you get to affect change in people’s lives. This nationally recognized and accredited course will be prepare you to become a Master Trainer. Learn anatomy, kinesiology, bioenergetics, cardiovascular exercise, strength training, goal setting, nutrition, exercise prescription, disease prevention, CPR/AED, legal aspects, and program design. You are just trying to be everything to everyone; A better dad, a better husban

You have to stay healthy. You cannot take care of others if your own health is compromised. Just like when you are on an airplane and the flight attendant tells you to put the oxygen mask on yourself before you put it on your kids. You have to take care of yourself first or you will not be able to take care of your family. Make your health a priority. You need to be a stronger dad. You will never stop being a dad, it is a lifetime commitment. You need to get yourself ready for the long haul. So what will happen if you start working out and eating healthier? You will lose body fat, add more muscle, look younger, feel better and have more energy. Who knows? You will probably be looking so good that you might get another kid out of the deal. Nice!
